WASHINGTON, May 16, 2025 – Effective May 12, 2025, the arrears of approximately $15.5 million due to the by the Syrian Arab Republic have been cleared. The payment to clear the arrears was made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Qatar. Consequently, the country’s eligibility for new operations has been reinstated, subject to compliance with applicable World Bank operational policies.
As of May 12, 2025, there are no remaining outstanding balances on 欧美日b大片 credits to the Syrian Arab Republic.
